About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Specialty Software Engineer

In this role, you will:
  • Lead or participate in complex initiatives on selected domains
  • Assure quality, security and compliance for supported systems and applications
  • Serve as a technical resource in finding software solutions
  • Review and evaluate user needs and determine requirements
  • Provide technical support, advice, and consultation with the issues relating to supported applications
  • Create test data and conduct interfaces and unit tests
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
  • Understand and participate to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
  • Conduct research and resolve problems in relation to processes and recommend solutions and process improvements
  • Assist other individuals in advanced software development
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience with AI/ML/Algorithms/Python
  • 7+ years of Microsoft SQL Server experience
  • 6+ years of experience creating visual reports with one or combination of the following: Tableau, or PowerBI.
  • Experience managing multiple medium technology development efforts within a major line of business
  • Data science, AI/ML/NLP experience and expertise with Python, R, etc.
  • Text mining, digital analytics, deep learning
  • Algorithms such as Linear Regression, Logistics Regression, SVM Modelling, MLP Modelling Also add NLP Algorithms
  • Trend Analysis, forecasting and pattern recognition
  • Experience with Databases like SQL Server, oracle, Teradata
  • Visualization tools: Power BI, Tableau, Advance Excel skills
  • Experience with structured data and semi-structured text or Excel files
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban.
Job Expectations:
  • Involve actively in understanding the business requirements and convert into equivalent AI/ML modelling use case Proficient in Statistics, Regression Modelling, Classification and Clustering concepts
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) models
  • Develop Machine Learning predictive analytics models for PxQ forecasting
  • Partner with other data modelers, business partners, ETL developers, and business intelligence analysts to design/develop/deploy business intelligence-based solutions
  • Lead or participate in complex initiatives on selected domains
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
  • Analyze highly complex business requirements, designs and write technical specifications.
  • Collaborate across teams, including global teams, to create high quality solution designs.
  • Provide design and development support for analytical systems and data integration applications
  • Utilize a thorough understanding of available technology, analytical techniques, tools, and existing designs to source, map, extract and load large volumes of data.
  • Provide high quality narratives that support data analysis to ensure the analysis tells a story and promotes data driven decisions
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Serve as a technical resource in finding software solutions
  • Provide technical support, advice, and consultation with the issues relating to supported applications
  • Create test data and conduct interfaces and unit tests
  • Understand and participate to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
