As a Hospital Patient Business Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing pre-admission, registration, and financial counseling activities to safeguard the hospital's reimbursement position. Your role will involve monitoring staffing, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while striving for high customer satisfaction.
- Manage all types of IP admissions
- Develop and maintain relationships with physicians and internal customers
- Recommend and implement policy and procedure changes for service enhancement
- Coordinate data collection and analysis for patient flow optimization
- Collaborate with nursing and ancillary departments to maintain a teamwork approach
- Review and update pre-service logs, manage collections, and billing processes
- Conduct evaluations, address patient and employee concerns, and support quality initiatives
- Work with Medical Director and Quality on patient flow systems
- Collaborate with HID department for video counseling arrangements
- Supervise and enhance patient flow effectiveness
