Roles andResponsibilities:

·Collaborate with product,development, testing and infrastructure teams to collect requirements.

·Develop, maintain, and enhanceinstaller setup for varied software products and tools.

·Provide continuous supportthroughout product release cycle by adhering to time critical tasks as well asoptimal solutions.

·Write necessary test cases that aidsin end-to-end testing of developed installer or a feature within the same.

·Should handle scripting languagebased on requirement. Preferably Python or Perl.

·Monitor incoming issues or requestsand interface with internal as well as external customers efficiently.

·Should be able to install andmaintain InstallShield as well as other tools used in development process.

·Should have problem solving skillsand ability to adapt to time critical requests.

Must haveskills:

·Hands-on experience in developingand maintaining Microsoft MSI Packages using Installshield.

·Added advantage on experience inWix, Visual Studio Installer, Install Anywhere, NSIS etc.

·Extensive knowledge on MSI,operating system, registry and debugging tools.

·Knowledge about custom action andits relevant implementation in respective scenarios using any scriptinglanguage.

·Knowledge on windows driver as wellas windows services handling from within installer.

·Experience on installation-relatedtasks and challenges:

·writing files and registry entries,handling environment variables, package structure to get most of MSIadvantages, avoiding dll hell, localization concepts, reboot handling, UACconcepts, file permission and signing, deferred and immediate custom actions,self-registration of C++ and .Net COM servers, including merge modules andpre-requisites, chained and nested msi concepts.

·Should understand the testing domainand should help the test team to define use case driven testing.

·An idea on MSIX packaging as well asdocker-container setup is an added advantage.

·Should have worked on installing andmaintaining Installshield licenses in different modes.

·Ability to own and drive the tasksto completion successfully adhering to timelines.

·Experience of working withgeographically dispersed teams

·Effective collaboration andinfluencing skills to achieve business goals across teams and organizations.

·Strong verbal and writtencommunication skills, and interpersonal and teamwork skills
