What You Will be Doing
As a 1D Brake Systems Analyst, you will be responsible to compile and present 1D pneumatic simulation results to system responsible engineers, team lead and testing teams.
You will work closely with the brake system and testing engineering teams to perform simulation tasks to meet North American project requirements.
The position entails a high level of collaboration with global brake system teams working on future products, analysing complex fluid-mechanical systems, providing design recommendations, and ensuring functional requirements are met.
You will be expected to provide professional expertise as a 1D analyst and be able to work closely with various engineering stakeholders and perform 1D systems analysis for the North American Truck projects.
In addition, you are expected to support maintaining component model libraries and coming with innovative ways to predict the results in simulation with efficient modellingResponsibilities
Build 1D system models to analyse brake system performance.
Help improve system models to meet design targets.
Interact globally with pneumatic installation engineers on system & Circuit and give technical feedback on how to improve the design while still meeting the installation requirements.
Work closely with testing teams to perform system level model validation.Create result reports and analysis that enhance the visualization of the data to better communicate to various stakeholders.
Help maintain model libraries and repositories.
Work with global teams to improve methods and model archives.
Who You Are
You are a talented and customer-focused individual who can effectively communicate with component stakeholders in the vehicle engineering & vehicle technology organization and ensure that the systems meet various design targets (e.g., flow, pressure) in terms of performance and functionality.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
4+ years of experience in brake system / Pneumatic installation for Heavy Duty trucks
Understanding of pneumatic components & basic brakes regulations
Strong background in fundamentals of fluid dynamics and mechanics
1D simulation tools such as GT-SUITE, MATLAB/Simulink, etc.
Experience with PDM tools like windchill
Preferred
Experience with Python or other similar data analysis tools
Experience with Jira or Confluence
Experience in CAD tools such as Creo, NX, AutoCAD etc
