Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced IS Specialist (Sales System Application Specialist) to play a key role in our Caterpillar IT Division. The Sales System Application Specialist will offer expertise in computer application development to solve customer business challenges within Resource Industries - IT, Order Fulfillment, and Procurement Division, focusing on products like Order Management and S&OP corporate applications.

The preferred location for this position is Bangalore, KA-India.

What You Will Do:

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead major business case analysis efforts and product planning initiatives.
  • Drive solution delivery across various departments.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders.
  • Independently tackle complex technical issues, including off-shift and weekend support.
  • Take charge of developing business-centric features.
  • Provide project leadership on process development and system integration.
  • Formulate and implement delivery methodologies for processes and applications.
  • Offer support for escalated business process issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management.

Candidates Should Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • 10+ years of IT experience.
  • 8+ years in data and database solutions.
  • 5+ years in SQL, data modeling, ETL tools, and CDC methods.
  • 3+ years in Snowflake design and support.
  • Leadership experience on strategic projects.
  • Strong database fundamentals knowledge.
  • Hands-on technical expertise with concept design.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in multiple business processes and IT disciplines.
  • Knowledge of AI concepts, AWS, SAP platforms, and architecture patterns.
  • Strong accountability, organization, teamwork, and customer focus.
  • Interpersonal skills for sensitive situations.

  • Experience with software development and maintenance at scale.
