Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager/Scrum Master to lead our offshore team in delivering high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, Agile methodologies, and leading distributed teams.
As a Project Manager/Scrum Master for our offshore team, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and facilitating Agile practices, ensuring project delivery within budget and schedule, and fostering collaboration and communication across global teams.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the offshore team and facilitate effective communication with onshore stakeholders.
- Lead and coach the offshore development team in Agile practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coordinate and prioritize the team's work, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and priorities.
- Manage project scope, budget and the data needs for the project for offshore/onsite deliverables while mitigating risks and issues proactively.
- Collaborate with onshore Project Managers and Product Owners to define project requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Conduct regular progress reviews, report status updates, and identify areas for improvement to optimize project delivery.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and drive implementation of best practices within the offshore team.
- Excellent organizational skills and conscientiously manage and follow up on multiple concurrent tasks and requests on tight deadlines
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and Agile principles in project execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Master managing offshore development teams in an Agile environment.
- Certification as a Scrum Master (CSM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and Lean practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to effectively lead distributed teams.
- Experience with project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Trello, or Microsoft Project.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on business needs.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle, software engineering concepts, and quality assurance processes.
- Familiarity with offshore outsourcing practices and challenges in delivering software projects.
