Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Research Analyst to join our sales team. This role is crucial in driving our sales strategy by providing insightful market analysis, identifying potential customers, and supporting the sales team with data-driven decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent research and presentation skills, and a keen interest in the road sweeping and cleaning industry.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape within the various industries.
  • Analyze market data to identify potential areas for growth and expansion.
  • Monitor industry developments and provide actionable insights to the sales and marketing teams.
  • Customer Identification: Identify and profile potential customers, including municipalities, private contractors, and industrial facilities.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of potential leads and customer contacts using CRM and other tools as provided by Spruce Up.
  • Segment potential customers based on various criteria such as size, location, and purchasing behavior.
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team with preparing detailed reports, presentations, and proposals for potential clients.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support the sales team in developing effective sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales efforts with marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitors' products, pricing strategies, and sales tactics.
  • Prepare competitive analysis reports to help the sales team position Spruce Up's products effectively.
  • Identify unique selling points and areas for differentiation in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Data Management: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of sales and customer data in the company's CRM system.
  • Regularly update and maintain sales databases and tracking systems.
  • Generate regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the product development team to understand product features and benefits.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to share insights and support promotional activities.
  • Participate in sales meetings and strategy sessions, providing research-based recommendations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, research methodologies, and data analysis tools.
  • Propose and implement improvements to research processes and sales strategies.
  • Seek feedback from sales and marketing teams to refine research techniques and deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in market research, sales analysis, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in using market research tools, CRM systems, and data analysis software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Passion for the road sweeping and cleaning industry is a plus.
