Junior Production Merchandiser (Home Textiles)

Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Production Merchandiser to join our growing team. In this role,you will play a key part in the production process for our home textile products, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including designers, suppliers, and quality control teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development of new home textile products, understanding customer needs and translating them into product specifications.
  • Research and source materials and trims for home textile production, considering cost, quality, and lead times.
  • Prepare and manage technical specifications, including bills of materials (BOMs) and production timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure accurate order placement, timely production, and quality control.
  • Monitor production progress, identify and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct and document pre-production meetings and factory visits.
  • Inspect pre-production samples and finished goods, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain production documentation, including cost sheets and reports.
  • Assist with customs clearance and logistics for imported goods (if applicable).
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in home textile production.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field (preferred).
  • 0-2 years of experience in production merchandising or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of textile materials, construction methods, and quality control procedures for home textiles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with (insert any relevant software programs, e.g., Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems) (a plus).
