Purpose of the role

  • Responsible to effectively manage and assure Quality of the product manufactured at CNC/ Structural / Sheet Metal Shop
  • Ensure on time stage and final inspection
  • Ensure Quality Management System adherence and Conformance

Role Description

A) Inprocess and Final Inspection
1) Ensure availability of 3C containers along with the parts received for inspection

2) Verify availability of Stage / Final Quality Plan. Update Quality Plan inline with customer complaints if any

3) Ensure availability of CMM for inspection and its calibration status

4) Ensure whether 2D and 3D model are Co-relating before Quality Plan Acceptance

5) Ensure previous stages are closed in ERP / Router

7) Verify the part identification and part quantities as per Router / MTS and its Configuration Status

8) Carry out CMM Inspection as per ERP Timing (Stage/Final Inspection) using Quality / Control Plan

9) Carryout Re-Inspection incase of Rework as per Rework order

10) Generate CMM report and Verify

B) First Article Inspection
1) Verify Correlation of 2D Drawing and 3D model before inspection

2) Conduct CMM Programme Verification and Validation for FAI Parts inspection

3) Inspect FAI parts as per ERP Timing

D) Control of Non Conformance
1) Record the Non conformance register at Quality Clinic and submit the parts with tag and 8D Report for RCA

2) Take Containment Action

3) Verify on time Implementation of Corrective Action

4) Ensure Effectiveness of Corrective Action Implemented
