Global Banking & MarketsOur primary objective is to establish strong relationships with our institutional clients, such as corporations, financial service providers, and fund managers. We assist them in trading financial products globally, raising funds, and managing risks. This team is vibrant and entrepreneurial, with a profound enthusiasm for the markets. It comprises individuals who excel in fast-paced, evolving environments and find motivation in a lively trading atmosphere.
Business Unit OverviewLoan Management mainly supports the Global Banking and Markets Segment within Goldman Sachs. It is responsible for overseeing due diligence for acquisitions, asset management, and sales/securitizations of various loan portfolios in the US, EMEA, and APAC. The EMEA Mortgage desk plays a vital role in the EMEA loan business and Asset Backed securities, focusing on purchasing whole loan pools, financing new loan assets, and creating securities backed by loan assets.
We are looking for an Analyst / Associate to support the EMEA mortgage desk in asset management activities. The selected candidate will be responsible for data storage, information management solutions, and analytical tools to facilitate the acquisition, monitoring, reporting, and disposition of loans.
Job Responsibilities- Managing financing facilities and assisting in the negotiation of loan terms and associated documents
- Deciphering legal documents into Excel Models
- Overseeing client relationships and ensuring smooth execution of various deals
- Managing commercial real estate, mortgage, and consumer loan data
- Monitoring collateral adequacy for funding and margining
- Collaborating with Information Technology on data projects
- Ensuring accuracy of data for analytics
- Developing data-related quality control checks
- Creating reporting solutions
- Tracking projects and communicating results to various business groups
- 2.5+ years of experience in mortgages or consumer portfolio / collateral analytics / asset management
- Strong academic background in finance, business, math, or accounting
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Technical skills in SQL, RDBMS Databases, Data Reporting, and Data Visualizations
- Project management and Stakeholder Management skills
- Interest in financial markets
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong team player
