About the role:
Reporting to the Deputy Editor, the Senior Editor is a working manager and editor who contributes to and supports the editorial direction of Taste of Home's print products, including the flagship magazine, special-interest publications and cookbooks. Managing a growing India-based Taste of Home editorial team, they will work closely with the US-based Content Director of Taste of Home. In addition to serving as a project editor on cookbooks, they will learn how to leverage the brand's recipe database, archives and website to create new book and magazine titles; craft copy for book covers, front-of-book and back-of-book pages; and support and train their staff to do the same.
Location: TMB has offices in New York, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, London and Gurgaon. This role will be based out of our Gurgaon office, and you will have the flexibility to work in the office and from home.

You are an organized manager with a keen ability to simultaneously balance numerous projects and deadlines. A creative writer and editor, you have the collaborative spirit necessary to produce quality, on-brand content for books, magazines and special interest publications targeted toward home cooks. An eager and active contributor to brainstorming, you bring a fresh perspective of what's new and what's next to your work. You're interested in what's happening in the world of food and how to engage our audience in valuable, relevant and entertaining ways. Deeply curious, you're a reader, watcher and consumer of content, enabling you to spot opportunities and trends through your own creative endeavors.
Your day-to-day: Assist in planning and executing editorial content for Taste of Home flagship magazine, Taste of Home special interest publications and Taste of Home cookbooks Manage day-to-day activities of Associate Editor, Magazines Act as project manager on Taste of Home cookbooks as assigned Contribute to frequent planning meetings and brainstorm sessions for books and magazine projects, providing creative ideas that work across channels Help select the recipes to fill the pages of Taste of Home magazine, special interest publications and books as assigned Work closely with art and production team members Pitch, write and edit copy for content across channels, adhering to search and affiliate best practices Contribute to brainstorming for covers, editorial calendars and TOCs You have: A bachelor's degree in journalism, English or Communications At least two years of management experience A minimum of two years of experience in editorial roles Demonstrated success in building and maintaining positive relationships with editorial and design team members to get the best overall creative results An organized, thorough and deadline-oriented approach to content creation Excellent written and verbal communications skills Experience working with AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools like ChatGPT and Writesonic to support editorial ideation and content creation A high comfort level working with publishing platforms and in tools such as InCopy About this team:
