Here are some typical roles and responsibilities for a Business Development Executive (BDE) in IT Sales:

Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Identify and research potential clients and key decisionmakers in target industries.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture relationships with existing clients to understand their evolving needs and preferences.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
- Provide timely and professional responses to client inquiries and requests.
Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to tailor sales strategies and solutions to meet client requirements.
Proposal Preparation and Presentation:
- Prepare persuasive sales proposals, presentations, and demonstrations that highlight the value proposition of our IT products or services.
- Present proposals to prospective clients in a clear, compelling, and engaging manner.
- Address client objections and concerns effectively to move the sales process forward.
Negotiation and Closing:
- Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts, pricing, and payment terms with clients to secure profitable deals.
- Close sales agreements and ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Follow up with clients after the sale to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or crossselling.
Sales Pipeline Management:
- Manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities.
- Track and monitor sales activities, progress, and outcomes using CRM software or other sales management tools.
- Forecast sales projections and provide regular reports to management on sales performance and trends.
Continuous Learning and Development:
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to IT sales and business development.
- Participate in training programs, workshops, and conferences to enhance sales skills and knowledge.
- Actively seek feedback and coaching to improve performance and achieve professional growth.
