Overview

Microsoft's Cloud business is going through a period of significant growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) group plays a crucial role in supporting this expansion. The main goal is to provide top-notch infrastructure to meet the world's computing needs. CSCP oversees various key functions such as strategic sourcing, demand forecasting, capacity planning, supply chain management, and datacenter asset management globally.

As part of the Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure division, the Spares Supply Chain (SSC) team focuses on ensuring timely availability of spare parts to meet global capacity demands. The team is currently undergoing a transformation to enhance the management of spares and warranties from both a service and cost perspective. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Spares and Warranty team, someone who is passionate and ready to streamline processes, enhance execution, and improve systemic procedures to support datacenter operations at cloud scale in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve managing efficient processes to deliver service parts to datacenters worldwide.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in fields like Engineering, Computer Science, or Statistics.
• 6+ years of experience in areas like Data Science, Program Management, Software Development, and technical/engineering roles, with a strong proficiency in tools like R/Python, PowerBI, SQL, and similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Data Engineering tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in supply chain analytics and modeling methods.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Hive, Spark, and Scope, along with knowledge and experience in Azure Machine Learning.
• Previous involvement in developing and implementing ML models to solve practical issues.
• Exposure to SAP ECC, OER, and IBP modules would be beneficial.
• Background in High-tech Supply Chain, Reverse Logistics, or Service Parts industry is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Create insightful reports and analytics, enabling self-service reporting of key business metrics.
• Adopt agile principles for continuous value delivery and flexibility to change.
• Collaborate on the development of the CPOD Spares & Warranty Pulse, serving as a central platform for business intelligence.
• Lead the ETL process for gathering data from various sources.
• Utilize deep supply chain knowledge to collect and analyze data, offering insights for enhancing service parts performance.
• Apply pattern-based analysis to uncover hidden data trends for optimizing business outcomes.
• Manage a SQL-on-Azure instance for data aggregation.
• Engage in regular scrum meetings to deliver requested features and reports.
• Cultivate strong relationships across different teams within the organization.
• Utilize expertise in SQL, PowerBI, and other tools for on-demand insights.
• Enhance operational efficiency through process and tool enhancements.
• Develop analytical models for scaling service operations and reducing cycle time.
• Create and maintain data pipelines and services for reporting and analysis purposes.
