Job SummarySeeking a detail-oriented individual to conduct patent validity searches, evaluate product licensing opportunities, assess patentability, and manage portfolios. The role involves providing patent and literature support to company executives, internal colleagues, and external agents through effective documentation management and stakeholder correspondence.
Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct prior art searches to evaluate patent novelty and validity, utilizing various databases for research and report preparation.
  • Generate summary and landscape reports for new and existing molecules, ensuring timely updates and compliance with patent review procedures.
  • Oversee patent application filings for R&D projects, maintaining communication with patent offices, law firms, and agents.
  • Manage ongoing patent records and renewals.
  • Prepare in-licensing product reports, performing risk assessments and supporting due diligence processes.
  • Provide detailed clearance reports for various pharmaceutical products, engaging with R&D scientists for comprehensive analysis.
  • Collaborate within a team to achieve shared objectives and uphold corporate values.
  • Execute all duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Education: Minimum of M.Pharm. or M.Sc. in Biotechnology, preferably with a PG Diploma in Patent Law.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ideally a Registered Patent Agent with the Indian Patent Office, well-versed in US, EP, and Indian patent laws. Proficiency in formulation and biosimilar product searches, familiar with databases like Questel Orbit, SciFinder, and STN.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in intellectual property procedures, emphasizing the importance of patent-related knowledge.
