At Ford Motor Credit Company, we are in the process of modernizing our enterprise Core Platforms and integrating a new lending platform with Google Cloud Data Platform to enhance our Data, Analytics, and AI/ML capabilities. This initiative aims to improve customer experience, ensure regulatory compliance, and boost operational efficiencies, all made possible by Google Cloud.
This role involves leading the integration of core data from the new North America Lending platforms into Data Factory on GCP BQ. It also includes building upon existing analytical data by merging historical data from legacy platforms with data ingested from new platforms. The goal is to facilitate critical regulatory reporting, operational analytics, risk analytics, and modeling.
The selected candidate will be responsible for providing technical guidance to implementation teams and ensuring adherence to engineering patterns, data quality, and compliance standards across all data factory workstreams. Additionally, they will support the business in adopting data from the new platform.
This position will collaborate with a technical program manager, data platform enablement manager, analytical data domain leaders, subject matter experts, supplier partners, business partners, and IT operations teams to deliver the data integration workstream plan following an agile framework.
We are seeking a dynamic and technical leader with previous experience in leading data warehouses as part of complex business and tech transformations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Data Engineering, GCP Big Query, Data ETL pipelines, data architecture, data governance, data protection, security, compliance, and user access enablement.
  • 14+ years of overall experience
  • 5+ years of experience delivering complex Data warehousing projects
  • 4+ years of strong experience in Bigquery, Data lake on GCP
  • Solid knowledge of Ford credit business functional, core systems, data knowledge
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams of 5-10 engineers and suppliers to build Big Data/Datawarehouse solutions
  • 10 years of experience in the technical delivery of Data Warehouse Cloud Solutions for large companies and business adoption of these platforms to build analytics, insights, and models
  • Master's degree in Computer science, Computer engineering, Data science, or related field
  • 5-8 years' experience leading technical teams, delivering complex projects using Agile methodologies, and product support of those solutions
  • Solid knowledge of cloud data architecture, data modeling principles, DevOps, SRE, security, and controls
  • Google Cloud certified preferred - Cloud Data Engineer
  • Google Analytics experience preferred
  • Experience with Orchestration of data pipelines, Batch data pipelines, Streaming data pipelines, Data warehousing techniques, Data Catalog, Lineage DLP, and Classification of data. Knowledge of Python would be an advantage
  • Very strong leadership, communication, organizing, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to negotiate with and influence stakeholders and drive forward strategic data transformation
  • Quick learner, self-starter, energetic leaders with a drive to deliver results
  • Empathy and care for customers and teams. As a leader, guide teams on the advancement of skills, objective setting, and performance assessments

  • Experience in technical program management and delivering complex migration projects

  • Prior experience in leveraging offshore development service providers
