DevOps Architect

Responsibilities:

  • Identify appropriate technology solution to solve clients' problems
  • Engage clients in issue resolution/ decisions and drive alternatives with though leadership and automation experience.
  • Help with SRE adoption for Tech Operations based engagements
  • Identify and implement tools/ services that can help the engineering team to produce better software/ services more efficiently and provide recommendations
  • Form relationships with the client's technical staff to identify new opportunities
  • Provide technical, managerial, and technology direction for problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation of complex solutions by making automation related recommendations for existing and new customers.
  • Generate innovation and continuous improvement ideas for various projects and engagements
  • Work with delivery teams to identify and recommend improvement opportunities by leveraging process maturity model and assessment toolkit

  • Execute DevOps assessments on existing / new engagements
  • Support in creating collateral and content
  • Build new use cases on DevOps/SRE

  • Leads engagement with software developers, devops engineers to integrate software development and delivery from inception to full operation, ensuring robust released software and systems, typically for high traffic services or key infrastructure.
  • Provide guidance on cloud native devops implementation and cost effective best practices

Key Skills:

  • Indepth knowledge of a particular area, such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Automated Quality Testing, Software Configuration Management and Automated Platform provisioning
  • Hands on experience with building and managing container based deployments
  • Experience with AWS (AWS Certification is preferred) native DevOps service
  • Application of principles, methods and knowledge of IT service management
  • Experience in monitoring tools configuration and installation
  • Knowledge of, and administration experience with tools such as AWS Native DevOps Services, AWS Code Pipeline, ECS/EKS, GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, Nexus etc.
  • Expert proficiency in Linux system administration
  • Expert proficiency in deploying Cloud based infrastructure. Expert proficiency in modern SCM packages (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform, CloudFormation etc.).
  • Proficiency in development programming languages is an added advantage (Java, Ruby, C/C++, Node.
JS ,Python etc), database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, Redis, Aurora), and networking protocols used for the implementation of supported systems

  • 10 or more years of progressively complex related experience.
