IT Network Architect

Overview


The successful candidatewill serve as IT Network Technical / Subject Matter Expert (SME), supportingthe Siemens Healthineers' vast network in R&D, Manufacturing and SupplyChain.

Responsibilities

Perform complex technicalrequirements management and analysis.
Lead/drive small to mediumsized innovation assignments/topicsAssist Service OrchestrationManagement with the development of roadmaps for implementations related toNetwork services.
Review and approve technicaldesigns, specifications and statement of work documents.

Oversee the delivery ofquality IT solutions that support Healthineers business requirements rangingfrom direct requests from the business to complex and cross sector Globalstrategic initiatives.

Consult, Troubleshoot andSolve IT infrastructure issues working with Business, IT partners and variousIT teamsProvide SME support for majorincidents as neededInnovation Management:

Embrace innovation and drive IT partners to create, plan and implementinnovative network and security infrastructure based on approved concepts,designs and according to IT policies and guidelines.

Required Knowledge and Experience

Education
:
University degree in engineering /computer science or similarExperience:


10+ years of relevant work experience inIT Network Design, Implementation and AdministrationAbility to present ideas in business-friendlyand user-friendly language appropriate to both executives and managerial audiences.

Ability to effectively manage relationships withother infrastructure teams, application teams, stakeholders, business andcustomer representatives.
Organizational skills with attention to taskdetails, documentation and target dates.
Strong written, oral, andpresentation/communication skills.
Team orientated, willing to share knowledge andcollaborate with peers.
Communicate effectively with customers and crossfunctional teams.
Oversee the implementation of moves, adds andchanges.
Customer Service focused and a high level ofprofessionalism.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communicationskills, with the ability to effectively interact with all coworkers andstakeholders, including Senior Management.
Ability to prioritize work and handle multipletasks simultaneously in a fast paced, diverse and growth-oriented environment.
Must know when to ask for assistance.

Must beapproachable, a team player with a strong desire to continue learning and expandingtheir experience in a highly evolving technical environment.

Must have good time management skills and beable to meet rigid and urgent assignment schedules.
Proven ability to influence the definition oftechnical strategies and design solutions.
Must be technically sound in various ITinfrastructure products and abreast of overall technology trends.

Enterprise level Networking knowledge inmultiple technical areas including:
a. Networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN, Switches, Routers,Load Balancers, Proxies)b. Systems (Windows, UNIX, Linux)c. Information Security (Firewalls, Routers)

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

Demonstrates and utilizes extensive expertise in aspecialized field to accomplish intricate tasks effectively. Demonstratesadvanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area ofspecialization. Demonstrates significant knowledge of organization's businesspractices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of thoseissues. Typically 8-10 years of successful experience in related fieldand successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presentedabove. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.

Capable ofresolving critical issues in a time sensitive manner, cognizant of requisiteservice levels.
History ofbalancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to thechanging needs of the customers while meeting deadlines.
Criticalattention to detail and solid creative problem solving skills.
Ability toperform intermediate root cause analysis.
Strongorganizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Providedetailed technical designs for new technology deployments.
Process/formatmetrics and present results to management.
Updateprocess and design documentation and team websites.
Work onreview of entire environment and execute initiatives to reduce failures,defects and improving overall performance.

High levelknowledge of Enterprise Applications and their function (SAP, Oracle, Siebel)Ability tothink critically and understand the dependencies in connected systemsPassion forsolving operational and business problemsAbility towork effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
