Contact: Jake YansenWe have a current opportunity for a Mechanical TFA (India) on a contract basis.

Main Tasks:

Pre-Commissioning (Cold Commissioning):

  • Supervision/validation of instrument hookups and loop checks
  • Check out correct function of auxiliary systems (lube oil, dry gas seals, etc.)
  • Inspect process piping, valves, process filter / suction strainer
  • Check of control logic, verify alarms and shutdowns

Hot Commissioning:

  • Startup and verification of mechanical running behaviour
  • Measure and record critical machine parameters.
  • Adjust and optimize control functions
  • Supervise test operation and optimize process integration
  • Complete commissioning of installations, including completing of all relevant inspections and checks,
including handover of the installation to the customer at completion of commissioning

  • Control and instrument trouble shooting and service work on all type of rotating equipment
  • Function testing of auxiliary equipment, such as lube oil pump, motors, actuators, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Successful precommissioning and hot commissioning of turbo machinery and auxiliaries
  • Controls and coordinates correct interaction between turbo machinery and customer process
  • Instruction of customer personnel related to operation and maintenance
  • Documentation and reporting of site work
  • Comply to Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards

Entry level qualifications/experience for the role:

  • BSc/MSc, Bachelor/Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Preferred to have completed a 34 year technical apprenticeship in the machinery industry
  • Experience in workshop procedures/practices/shop assembly
