Want to be a part of our team?The primary responsibility of the Senior Associate Software Applications Development Engineer is to assist with the development of new applications and provide support in the improvement of existing applications based on the needs of NTT internaWorking at NTTKey Roles and Responsibilities:Assists with development of applications that effectively accomplish client objectives and user needsAssists with designing and writing code for applications and maintain applications databasesAssists with analyzing and editing existing software applications to improve and optimize functionality, fix problems, and enable their use on new hardware platformsReceived detailed instructions to remodel and adapt applications as needed to optimize performanceAssist with identifying specific client needs and preferences related to the applicationSupports testing applications extensively to ensure they are error and bug-freeInstalls applications and acts as technical advisorCommunicates with relevant internal technical stakeholders to obtain information on project limitations, performance requirements, and interfacesConsults with clients in the design phase to determine client needsAssists with producing software documentation following company software process and templatesSupports in software product review meetings and team meetings
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
Applies learned techniques, as well as company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issuesKnowledge of computer science, with specific knowledge of computer programming, application design, and user-focused featuresCreative problem solving skills with good interpersonal, communication, and organisational skillsGood team player who maintains the integrity of the teamExcellent attention to detail capabilitiesAbility to understand and analyze IT systemsProficiency in writing software using the Java Programming Language and a standard object libraryKnowledge of software development processFamiliarity with agile development such as ScrumKnowledge of software integrated development environmentsKnowledge in various programming languages (Java, Perl, Python, C++, etc.)Ability to handle client and customer issues tactfully and professionally
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or software engineering or relatedCertification in various programming languages (Java, Perl, Python, C++, etc.)Scrum / Project Management certification
Required Experience:
Basic Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experienceBasic experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Basic experienced with Linux or Unix and Windows operating systemsBasic experience working with SQLBasic project management experience and/or experience working in an Agile environmentSkills SummaryAgile Scrum Development, Application Development, Operating Systems (OS), Programming Languages, Software Applications, Software DevelopmentWorkplace type:
