ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience: years
This opportunity is for a DevOps Architect role focused on cloud infrastructure and application migrations, as well as optimizing and automating the software development lifecycle. This will be a hands-on position requiring deep technical expertise and leadership capabilities, reporting to the Solution Architect/Team Lead.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and execute cloud infrastructure migration projects, with hands-on involvement in the migration of client workloads to public cloud platforms.
- Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Collaborate closely with solution architects and customer technical teams to architect and migrate applications to the cloud.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and DevOps engineers, ensuring best practices and coding standards are followed.
- Architect and develop infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the software development lifecycle, using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI/CD.
- Optimize performance, scalability, and fault tolerance of cloud services.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
- Monitor and manage cloud infrastructure using tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, and Prometheus.
- Participate in architectural governance and proactively manage issues and risks throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and DevOps best practices.

Skills:
Mandatory:
 Cloud Technologies:
- 6+ years of experience with AWS technologies: S3, Lambda, EC2, VPC, SQS, Cognito, IAM, WAF, Route 53, CloudFront, CloudWatch, Load Balancer, Transit Gateway, Storage Gateway, Security Group, VPN, SES, AWS Transfer Family, AWS Backup Service, CloudTrail, ECS, EKS, and Landing Zone.
- 5+ years of experience with Azure technologies: Azure AD, Azure Storage Accounts, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure SQL, Recovery Service Vault, Azure Load Balancer, Azure Monitor, Azure Public/Private DNS, vNet (Peering) and Azure VPN, WebApps, ARM, CLI.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies is a plus.

Cloud Migration:
- Strong understanding of cloud migration techniques and workflows (on-premise to Cloud Platforms).
- Experience with cloud migration technologies such as Azure Migrate, AWS Migration Hub, and related tools.

DevOps Practices:
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates.
- Automation/configuration management using Puppet, Chef, Ansible, SaltStack, or equivalent.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools: Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, or equivalent.

Programming & Scripting:
- A working understanding of code and scripting languages such as: Python, Ruby, Perl, Shell scripting.

Networking:
- Solid understanding of networking and core Internet protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and routing in distributed networks.

Security:
- Ensuring security best practices are followed during cloud migrations and in the architecture of cloud solutions.

Performance Tuning:
- Experience in performance tuning, load balancing, web servers, content delivery networks, and caching (Content and API).

Additional Skills:
- Strong background in Linux/Unix and/or Windows administration.
- Experience with source code management tools: GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with data center migrations and large-scale enterprise application deployments.
- Understanding of hybrid cloud solutions and experience integrating public cloud into traditional hosting models.
- Experience in designing or implementing data warehouse solutions is highly preferred.

*Certifications:*

- Cloud certifications (Associate or Professional level) in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- DevOps-related certifications are a plus (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Certified Jenkins Engineer).

This role requires a combination of strong technical skills, leadership, and the ability to work closely with clients and technical teams to deliver robust cloud solutions and optimize the DevOps processes.
