What's the role?

SR SOFTWARE ENGINEER
(Automation Quality Analyst)


would be a part of Professional Services , you will be responsible to design, implement and document test automation suites for customer projects in various industries, including Automotive, Transports and Logistics.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
(ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – LIST IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE; 5-6 MAXIMUM)Design and develop automation scripts and streamline testing methodology with various test automation tools like Junit, Cucumber as needed.
Should have extensive experience in using languages like Java, Javascript etc for Automation.
Should have experience with Android Automation.
Map the requirements, understand user acceptance criteria, and convert user stories into tangible test cases.

Automate different levels of testing (System, Integration, Regression, Acceptance, Performance) ; create and maintain test pipelines with tools like Jenkins / GitlabDetect and track software defects and inconsistencies, track software test results in relevant tools/databases like JIRA / confluence ; provide timely feedbacksMaintain and improve automated test suites , Test plans , documentation to ensure quality of existing solutions and updates being applied to these solutions.

Assist team in troubleshooting issues that may arise during testing phase and in production phase.
Maintain and increase product code quality, while ensuring best engineering practicesENVIRONMENT

(. DEGREE OF SUPERVISION / INDEPENDENCE; CREATIVITY / FOLLOWING PROCEDURES)Tasks of moderate complexity requiring some discretion and independent judgment. Carries out tasks/activities according to assignment and set guidelines. Limited supervision and coaching needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
(MINIMUM EDUCATION, AMT. & TYPE OF WORK EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB COMPETENTLY)


Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experienceTop-tier software engineer with primary focus in Java coding skills and QA with proven proficiency in development for large integrated software solutions.5+ Years of experience in various test automation frameworks like Junit, Cucumber etc.

is requiredStrong knowledge of testing concepts including different staging environments with requirements traceability.

Basic knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD methods , AWS / S3 (cloud).Knowledge of databases like SQL.Analytical approach and problem-solving skills.

Excellent collaborative skills , spoken English and experience in multi cultural and multi-site working environment is a big plusThe following knowledge would add extra value to your contribution in our team:
Knowledge of location-based services such as mapping, navigation, GPSDesired testing certifications viz. ISTQB, CSTE, CP-BAT, CP-MAT, CP-SAT etc.

Experience in working with embedded and/or automotive hardware test environmentsTesting of safety critical equipmentsKnowledge on location or automotive specific industry standards, .
