Job Overview
UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry. We are looking for a business minded IT Architect to support the product area of Repair & Maintenance Services.

As part of our forward thinking, market leading inhouse Digital Solutions & IT team, you will be responsible for designing and detailing IT solution architecture.

This position will focus on both managing the technical quality aspects of an IT solution, as well as delivering an architecture in accordance with the EA framework.


Responsibilities:

Design, implement and detail IT Solution architecture using core AWS services
Manage and oversee the technical quality aspects of an IT solution at all stages
Deliver an architecture in accordance with the EA framework that:
Aligns with UD Trucks target architecture
Meets the UD Trucks architectural principles
Complies with the organizations strategies and policies
Supports both process and solution roadmaps
Create an architectural description including reasons for architectural decisions and considerations
Ensure that the designed solution supports all the businesses policies, strategy, and stakeholder concerns
Research and suggest alternative solutions, as well as highlighting stakeholders to our deficiencies related to quality requirements
Be responsible for securing the right technical competence for the required resources
Contribute to the initial assessment of the feasibility of business requirements
Identify influencing factors for the solution, such as communication mechanisms, process lifecycles, concurrency requirements and security
Thoroughly explain and communicate architectural decisions to stakeholders through regular presentations or meetings
Ensure applicable IT security directives are followed and the solution fulfils the customer demands for information security
Translate business requirements into IT architecture, ensure that it is shown through selection of architecture and design artefacts
Ensure a solid architecture even in heterogeneous IT Solution
Participate in reviews of architecture concepts and solutions, for example on behalf of the project office or UDCS
Act as a coach and mentor for more junior Architects within the UD Trucks business
Understand deeply how the solution is implemented, fits into the solution landscape, and fulfils the end-to-end requirements
Ability and awareness to efficiently identify technical, security risks and propose mitigation actions
Gather functional and non-functional, including information security requirements from the stakeholders and document such requirements

Minimum requirements
5 years' experience in a position specifically related to IT architecture and/or software development
University Diploma or Degree in a relevant IT field (preferably in computer engineering/science)
Hands-on experience working directly with AWS Services (VPC, NAT, APIGW, SNS, SQS, Dynamo, CICD Tooling)
Possess a strong understanding and knowledge of Spring framework
Previous experience of writing and reviewing code in Java, as well as experience with NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB)
Previous working knowledge of open-source modelling tools (such as Sparx EA, Visio or similar)
Strong IT architectural technical skills, innovative and understanding how to make technical solutions based on specific customer requirements
Previous experience working in an AWS environment, ideally with micro-services architecture
Experience working in an agile, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment with challenging and time sensitive requirements from customers (proven knowledge in SAFe methodology considered a merit)
Ability to speak, read and write in English fluently is essential (Japanese language skills desirable but not essential)
