Job Description:


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Controller to join our team at Scan Global Services Private Limited.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in assisting US-based companies in managing their Accounts. You will work closely with CFO/CEO and gain valuable exposure to the financial reporting process.

Key Responsibilities:


The Senior Accounting Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of complex accounting transactions and ensuring compliance with relevant Accounting Standards Codifications (ASCs).

The role involves preparing detailed accounting memos, finalizing payroll, ensuring accurate bank-related entries, drafting financial statements for SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs), and coordinating with external auditors.

This position requires a thorough understanding of ASCs related to revenue recognition, leases, derivatives, and mergers and acquisitions.

Prepare comprehensive accounting memos for complex transactions in accordance with relevant ASCs, including but not limited to:

Revenue (ASC 606), Leases (ASC 842), Derivatives and Hedging (ASC 815), Business Combinations (ASC 805)

Payroll Management:

  • Oversee and finalize payroll processes ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR to resolve any payrollrelated issues and ensure timely payment of salaries and benefits.

Bank Reconciliation:

  • Review and verify all bankrelated entries.
  • Perform regular reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Financial Statements:

  • Prepare draft financial statements for SEC filings (10Ks, 10Qs) in accordance with GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Ensure all financial reports are accurate, complete, and submitted within required deadlines.

Audit Coordination:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
  • Coordinate audit activities and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure timely and successful completion of audits with minimal discrepancies.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure continued compliance.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management as required.

Preparation of Management Information Systems (MIS):

  • Generate financial reports and statements using QuickBooks and NetSuite. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial summaries for clients.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to clients for informed decisionmaking.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Chartered Accountants or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance. Candidates pursuing ACCA, CMA, CPA will be preferred.
  • Experience of More than 5+ years in similar field is a must. Internship or Articleship Experience will not be counted.
  • Mandatory knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards (GAAP), Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, PCAOB Rules.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • Understanding of US payroll processes and regulations will be preferred.
  • Strong communication in English language is needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing regulations and industry standards.
Salary Range is from Rs 12L- 20L CTC
