Position Summary:
1. Research and identify grant opportunities relevant to DSL's objectives.
2. Write, edit, and submit grant proposals following each grant-making organization's guidelines.
3. Collaborate with team members to gather necessary information and data for grant proposals.
4. Monitor and manage grant applications, ensuring timely submission and follow-up.
5. Maintain a database of grant submissions, including progress and status reports.
6. Prepare and provide regular reports to management on grant application activities.
7. Attend relevant workshops and conferences to stay updated on grant writing trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Arts,English, Communication, Writing, Commerce or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Grant Writer or similar role.
3. Excellent writing and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
4. Strong research skills and the ability to understand and interpret organization's goals and needs.
5. Proficiency in using computer software and online databases.
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
7. Knowledge of fundraising information sources and the nature of nonprofit organizations is a plus.
