The Position

The Clinical Trial Data Manager handles data management activities efficiently within our Trial Squad. This role involves various responsibilities to manage global data management activities and anticipate new challenges proactively. The Clinical Trial Data Manager ensures project management and end-to-end trial delivery. On complex trials, additional support is provided, while simpler trials require a lead role.

As a Clinical Trial Data Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will:

  • Take charge of CDM-related project management and ensure end-to-end clinical trial delivery.
  • Oversee the entire clinical trial, identifying and addressing risks, making decisions, and providing management reports.
  • Ensure availability of quality clinical data meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Set up data management systems, create Data Management Plans, and establish data quality plans.
  • Complete post-database lock activities for submission-ready data and maintain clear communication with trial partners.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • MSc/BSc in Natural/Life Science or similar field.
  • 2- 4 years of data management experience, preferably in the Pharma Industry.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical systems, relational databases, and data analysis.
  • Experience in data systems management, data analysis, and data quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in data acquisition, transformation, and harmonization.
  • Understanding of data architecture and communication.
  • Experience with GCP and/or GLP data-handling procedures.
  • Knowledge of drug and disease terminology and ability to review research protocols.

Our Clinical Data Operations & Insights team comprises about 400 professionals worldwide. Data Management oversees clinical drug development, ensuring global standards are met. The Data Review and Cleaning group centralizes and modernizes data processes, implements new methodologies, and develops innovative toolkits.
