Responsibilities:

  • Create concepts and pitch game ideas; evangelize these concepts to the studio and generate excitement and enthusiasm among the teams.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and other Designers to define and design the game's vision and overall player experience.
  • Lead the game's design creation through Concept Proposals, Game Design Documents, Functional Specifications, and implementation using Unity and other tools.
  • Lead creation of the concepts for characters, environments, props; UI. Implement the design facets of the gameplay.
  • Create new abilities for the New characters launches which can fit seamlessly into the existing game ecosystem, ensuring they are neither overpowered nor underpowered.
  • Perform as an enabler between the development functions to ensure the game design fits within the parameters of the project.
  • Serve as a mentor and guide to Junior Designers; offer them your wisdom and insights regarding the game design process; promote good design principles.
  • You champion player enjoyment while ensuring the commercial success of our product offerings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science.
  • Minimum of 4 years of Free to Play Mobile Games Design experience.
  • Relevant years of experience in mobile game design, including no fewer than two (2) shipped games.
  • Game economy design experience in freemium models.
  • Solid understanding of popular mobile, casual, and social games – recognizes what makes them fun.
  • Understands current game design concepts, prototyping, Agile/Scrum, non-linear storytelling, core loops, USP, etc.
  • Unity experience and common implementation tools through balancing are a must.
  • Experience in social/viral marketing; understands game analytics.
  • Must exhibit a strong and current passion for games of the varied genre and a strong sense of aesthetics applicable to producing AAA entertainment products.
  • Must be an avid gamer and play games across genres and platforms.
  • Knowledge of other game platforms and current trends.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Can communicate globally.
  • Prior working experience with IPs and IP based games will be an added advantage.
