**About Us:**

Taxom India is a very early stage Fintech startup revolutionizing the tax compliance space. We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on designing and developing the backend infrastructure of our company's products using modern technologies. Your expertise will play a crucial role in creating a robust and scalable architecture and driving business growth.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Backend Development:** Design, develop, test, and maintain the entire backend of our company's website using JavaScript.

- **API Development:** Design and implement RESTful APIs to handle data requests and interactions between the frontend and backend.

- **Database Management:** Design and implement database schema, perform database queries, and ensure data integrity and security.

- **Server-Side Logic:** Write server-side logic to handle user requests, validate data, and ensure the integrity of our web application.

- **Collaboration:** Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, designers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration and effective communication.

- **Troubleshooting:** Troubleshoot and debug issues with the backend, APIs, and database to ensure the smooth operation of our web application.

- **Code Review:** Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to coding standards.

- **Testing:** Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure the backend functionality meets the required standards.

**Requirements:**

- **Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field:** A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.

- **JavaScript Proficiency:** Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including ES6+ syntax, and experience with JavaScript frameworks such as

- **Backend Development Experience:** At least 1 year of experience in backend development, preferably with JavaScript.

- **API Development Experience:** Experience with designing and implementing RESTful APIs.

- **Database Management Experience:** Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.

- **Server-Side Logic Experience:** Experience with server-side logic and programming languages such as , Python, or Ruby.

- **Collaboration and Communication Skills:** Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- **Troubleshooting and Debugging Skills:** Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills to identify and resolve issues with the backend, APIs, and database.

- **Code Review and Testing Skills:** Experience with code reviews and testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha.

**Nice to Have:**

- **Cloud Platform Experience:** Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- **Containerization Experience:** Experience with containerization using Docker.

- **CI/CD Pipeline Experience:** Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

- **Knowledge of Web Security:** Knowledge of web security best practices and experience with implementing security measures.
