Job Overview

Essential Skills:

  • Receives work assignments through Service First or from Lead Administrators and management.
  • Undertakes server and storage hardware/software installation and maintenance tasks, ranging from standard to moderately complex.
  • Installs and maintains infrastructure management tools.
  • Offers standard problem identification and resolution support services.
  • Utilizes infrastructure management tools for server/storage performance monitoring and capacity planning.
  • Plays a role in designing, developing, and implementing departmental workflow processes and procedures.
  • Guides and supports internal and external customers on server/storage infrastructure services and workflow processes.
  • On-call support is required during off-duty hours on weekdays, weekends, and holidays on a scheduled/rotating basis.
  • May need to work beyond regular hours based on business needs.
  • Works independently on assigned standard tasks related to installation, maintenance, support, and problem resolution.
  • Under the guidance of senior technical personnel, handles complex technical tasks.
  • Proficient in current Microsoft Windows operating systems and related components, with expertise in installation, maintenance, and support in large-scale enterprise environments.

Windows Server/Desktop Administrators:

  • Sound understanding of Network Attached Storage, with expertise in storage administration and management support in a large-scale enterprise setup.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems concerning Network Attached Storage.
  • Basic familiarity with AWS and Azure cloud Storage in relation to Microsoft Windows systems.
  • Basic understanding of OneDrive cloud Storage in connection with Microsoft Windows systems.
  • Basic grasp of Distributed File System (DFS), File Shares, Access Based Enumeration (ABE), and NTFS rights regarding Microsoft Windows systems.

Various Technical Skills (All):

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot infrastructure challenges specific to their technical expertise.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell or other tools for workflow automation.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure management tools particular to their technical area of expertise (e.g., Robocopy, AZ copy).

Administrative/Interpersonal Skills (All):

  • Effective organization skills to manage and prioritize work assignments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to function effectively within a multicultural, multi-location team.
