About the Role

As a Cloud Engineer in Digital Sales Experience, you'll play a key role in accelerating our engineering practice to build Faster, Better, Smarter platforms and processes in order to support fast changing business functions and improve our service reliability for our customer. Hence we need to get a right talented engineer to help us to achieve the goal. This role is responsible for the design, implementation and quality of cloud based solutions.

What will your day look like?

This role is responsible for the design, implementation and quality of cloud-based solutions. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for helping application teams consume our new cloud native application platform, build out infrastructure as code, building CI/CD pipelines and support production releases. You'll be using automation to deliver infrastructure, applications and fully automate our security and governance controls.

As a Cloud Engineer, you are expected to:

Contributing delivery and testing solution using defined patterns, tools and framework Working with stakeholders and gathering requirements Proactive identify delivery, security, operational risk and deliver appropriate controls Managing code management practices such as CICD automation and Infrastructure management using IaC Accelerating engineering process through automation techniques including scripting, application development Developing monitoring and alerting capabilities to ensure application stability and be able to measure application performance

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Minimum 4 years software engineering and application development background Experience in Python, Shell, and at least one of the main stream programming language. We currently use Golang, Java, NodeJS. Experience and understand containerisation (Docker) and container management platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift, GKE etc.) Experience on building CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform Experience in implementing monitoring and alerting tools. We currently use NewRelic, Splunk. Great communication and documentation skill

Good to have:

Understand micro-service architecture and distributed system Understand Service Mesh Experience on managing Cloud infrastructure Contribute system architectural design driven by system reliability and security
