Supported by a widespread global sourcing network of growers, ginners, and suppliers, Olam Agri operates its offices, warehouses, and gins in major cotton-producing nations.

Our integrated ginning approach in Africa allows us to work closely with farmers, helping them enhance their cultivation practices, increase incomes, and receive fair prices for their cotton. Olam Agri Cotton Africa:

In Africa, Olam Agri has cultivated enduring partnerships with cotton marketing boards and ginners, playing a pivotal role in countries like Cte d'Ivoire, Togo, and Chad. Through holistic ginning models, we collaborate with small farmers to boost crop yields and quality by offering seeds, agricultural inputs, training, and agronomy services.

These initiatives result in the procurement of larger cotton quantities, enhancing farmer incomes and livelihoods. We also invest in community development and social infrastructure in conjunction with renowned development agencies such as IDH, USAID, and BMF.

Overview of Position:
This role within Olam Agri offers a comprehensive scope in a dynamic environment with substantial growth prospects. Responsibilities entail overseeing the entire supply chain from farming to export, covering procurement, processing, quality control, and shipments. Leading a team comprising both expatriates and local specialists, the General Manager holds pivotal responsibilities influencing strategic, operational, and organizational effectiveness.

The incumbent will be instrumental in shaping the future of Olam's Cotton business and the industry in Cote d'Ivoire by leveraging the existing market leadership, regulatory landscape, and strategic acumen. This leadership position mandates proactive management of stakeholder relationships, internal operations, and external market dynamics.
