Summary:

The Food Nutrition Specialist will design, implement, and oversee nutrition programs that improve the health and wellbeing of clients.

This role involves creating meal plans, conducting nutritional assessments, providing dietary counseling, and collaborating with other health professionals to ensure optimal nutritional care.


Key Responsibilities:

Nutritional Assessment: Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments of clients to determine their dietary needs and preferences.

Meal Planning: Develop customized meal plans that align with clients' health goals, dietary restrictions, and preferences.

Counseling and Education: Provide individual and group counseling sessions to educate clients on proper nutrition, healthy eating habits, and lifestyle changes.

Program Development: Design and implement nutrition programs and workshops to promote health and wellness within the community or organization.

Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, chefs, and other professionals to coordinate care and ensure the delivery of high-quality nutrition services.

Monitoring and Evaluation: Track clients' progress, adjust meal plans as necessary, and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition programs.

Research and Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest nutritional science, dietary guidelines, and industry trends to inform practice and ensure evidence-based recommendations.

Compliance: Ensure all nutritional services comply with relevant regulations, guidelines, and standards.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of nutrition science and dietary guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop personalized meal plans and provide dietary counseling.
  • Proficiency in using nutrition software and tools.
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
