The Chief Field Services role entails overseeing the 12 Field Offices and 1 Outpost of the India Country Office, directly reporting to the Representative. As a crucial member of the Senior Management Team, the individual provides strategic leadership in managing Field Offices and ensuring effective coordination between field and headquarters.

How can you make a difference?

  • In collaboration with senior management, the CFS offers strategic guidance to the country program, manages field-level operations, and facilitates the creation of plans aligned with national guidelines and program objectives.
  • Ensuring continuous and effective communication between Field Offices and headquarters, the CFS plays a key role in information exchange and decision-making support.
  • The CFS conducts consultations with Field Offices to aid senior management in decision-making while empowering and supporting field teams towards effective leadership.
  • As the primary supervisor of Field Office Chiefs, the CFS enables team fulfillment of responsibilities and promotes a positive work culture.
To qualify for this role, candidates should possess:
  • An advanced degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum ten years of international development leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ability in providing leadership and managing change
  • Experience in emergency response and large country office management
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is beneficial
