Responsibilities:


We are the Data Science team in Data COE (Centre of Excellence), and responsible for building various Machine learning products for all the business units & functions.

Our work powers the marketplaces across various geographies' in PropertyGuru, drives volume to value for our customers and enterprises.

We solve problems in the realm of recommender system, dynamic pricing, enabling customers with various language and computer vision related capabilities to be more efficient and accurate in dealing with the properties.

We also provide our enterprises a wide array of data products like automated valuation models, data insights suites and various conversational AI tools powered by Generative AI, for them to take an informed actionable decision about the properties in Southeast Asia.

We are equally responsible for creating scalable ML pipelines, foster a high-quality engineering excellence within our COE and innovate using latest AI/ML technologies.

PropertyGuru is looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, who has a proven track record of working with latest Machine Learning capabilities and productizing them at scale.

The person should have an experience leading other proficient engineers and working with various stakeholders across geographies. The person should be highly passionate about technology and applications of machine learning.

The following are some of traits which we expect -Be responsible for execution of Data Science roadmaps from conception to delivery.

Build state-of-the-art Machine Learning models, fine-tune to specific use cases and deploy them at scale.
Track and monitor the model performances both online and offline and incorporate the feedback from various stakeholders.
Provide technical leadership to the team members and collaborate.
Exhibit and nurture the culture of reading research papers and implement them in various ML products.

Be responsible and work with leads for enforcing best practices, set up guidelines, engineering excellence processes for the Data Science team.

Proficient in AWS cloud and making best use of ML and system components.
Effective communication within and outside the team

Requirements:


At least 5 years of experience in Machine Learning development projects and a strong foundation in object-oriented programming in Python.

At least 3 years of experience in building scalable ML systems and deploying in production with best practices.
In-depth working knowledge and experience in one of the modern, fast (high-performance), web framework for building APIs like FastAPI.
In-depth working knowledge and experience using Data Validation libraries like Pydantic.
Experience working with async-capable Python web servers, frameworks, and applications like Uvicorn.

In-depth experience in AWS cloud and various resources with a focus on Machine Learning including Amazon SageMaker, Pipeline, Projects, Model Monitoring, SageMaker Jumpstart and Bedrock.

Strong foundation on DevOps & MLOps practices with experience in one or more CI/CD frameworks like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS Code Commit or ArgoCD.

Have working knowledge with versatile set of Engineering Excellence toolkit for best coding practices, QA, and monitoring the applications. They are but not limited to PyTest, Pylint / Flake8, Black, SonarQube, DataDog, StatusCake, CloudWatch and more.
In-depth knowledge in Deep Learning and its application in Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision.

Have built systems using one or more NLP techniques like Semantic Search, Named Entity Recognition, Machine Translation, Question Answering and more.

Have both theoretical and working knowledge with Transformer architecture and its implementations in both encoder (BERT like) and decoder (GPT like) models.

Have built systems using one or more Computer Vision techniques like Object Detection, Semantic Segmentation, Classification and more.
Have both theoretical and working knowledge with CV models like Vision Transformer, CLIP, Stable Diffusion and more.
Have working knowledge with Large Language Models using Generative AI.
Have working knowledge using frameworks like HuggingFace, OpenAI, Cohere or similar implementations of foundation models.
Have a habit of keeping up to date with the latest AI/ML space and interested in reading research papers.
