Responsibilities:

  • Understand the entire system from start to finish, engaging in all stages of the software development process including design, development, and testing.
  • Define clear strategies for performance testing complex end-to-end systems comprising NCR solutions across multiple platforms.
  • Establish and maintain best-in-class enterprise testing tools and practices supporting testing of Windows, Web, and Cloud applications.
  • Comprehend non-functional requirements and create an environment for executing performance tests.
  • Research and adopt the latest practices in performance testing.
  • Generate reports on various performance tests conducted and suggest performance enhancements in the solution.
  • Expand testing automation within NCR's Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) environments.
  • Collaborate with product development, hardware, software, and QA engineers.
  • Diagnose and resolve system failures resulting from software errors.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to engineering and testing processes.
  • Continuously assess new tools and processes to uphold NCR's leading position in solution testing.
  • Collaborate with solution, hardware, software, network engineers, and QA engineers.
  • Adhere to the SAFe methodology for implementing or refining solution integration and testing best practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 6 to 8 years of testing experience in an enterprise setting; possession of any performance testing certification is highly advantageous.
  • Extensive experience in architecting solutions for complex enterprise applications.
  • Proficiency and hands-on experience with JMeter, PerfMon. Knowledge of LoadRunner is a bonus.
  • Skilled in performance testing APIs, Windows, and Web applications.
  • Expertise in utilizing various Protocols.
  • Strong, hands-on proficiency in developing performance scripts using Java or C.
  • Experience in SQL and database testing.
  • Proficient in performance testing tools like Fiddler, Wireshark, DynaTrace; familiarity with Google Trace is a plus.
  • A resourceful problem-solver who can collaborate with software engineers, architects, and product management to grasp performance test expectations at the solution level.
  • Demonstrates strong personal accountability and ownership.
