PhonePe launched its Switch platform in 2018, and today its customers can place orders on over 300 apps including Ola, Myntra, IRCTC, Goibibo, RedBus, Oyo etc.

About the Team:

  • The PhonePe AML & Sanctions Operations is a part of the Trust & Safety team which is a high impact team whose goal is to mitigate risk and improve the trust and safety for various PhonePe products. We are focused on safeguarding our platform from potential ML / TF risks by implementing various controls and timely actions. Roles & Responsibilities:

  • A good understanding of Anti Money Laundering and Fraud Workflow (Transaction Monitoring & Sanctions).
  • Identify and research the patterns, trends and anomalies in complex transactional & customer data to detect, prevent, mitigate & report suspicious activity related to ML / TF
  • Drafting & Filing of Suspicious Activity Reporting/Suspicious Transaction reports (SAR/STR) to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU-IND)
  • Collaborating within the team & with external stakeholders to work towards the team goals
  • Understanding & Identification of Red Flag Indicators / Anomalies on various products, services and various workflows within PhonePe
  • Transaction Monitoring alert mitigation on a daily basis along with Investigative Mindset.
  • To suggest process improvements, identify challenges & automation opportunities to improve operational efficiencies on various business / products verticals
  • Ability to understand the latest & emerging trends in Fraud & Anti Money Laundering domain in India

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

Requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Graduate Degree; MBA or other post graduate degree is a plus
  • Good Understanding of Know Your Customer, Customer Onboarding & Transaction Monitoring.
  • Any AML related certification is an added advantage.
  • Team player with excellent drafting and strong interpersonal skills along with verbal communication is a must.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/Powerpoint) and basic understanding of SQL would be a plus
