Responsibilities:
Design and implement site recovery solutions using cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices.

Collaborate with software engineers and Dev Ops teams to enhance the reliability and performance of applications through automation and continuous integration and delivery.

Utilize deep knowledge of version control and operating systems (e.g., LINUX) to maintain a stable and efficient infrastructure.
Implement CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and reliable application deployments
Troubleshoot issues and incidents, ensuring timely resolution and effective root cause analysis.
Employ effective communication and collaboration skills to bridge the gap between development and operations teams.
Demonstrate proficiency in cloud-native applications and distributed computing to optimize services in cloud environments (e.g., Azure).
Utilize coding skills to develop tools and scripts that facilitate operational tasks and improve overall system reliability.
Work with the Dev Ops team to provide operational support and ensure reliable service delivery to customers.

Utilize various toolsets such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Git, and more to manage and maintain infrastructure and applications.

Monitor system performance, log data, and utilize data analysis to anticipate and proactively address potential failures or issues.
Collaborate with development teams to identify and address vulnerabilities during the development process, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Apply service-level agreements (SLAs), service-level indicators (SLIs), and service-level objectives (SLOs) to define and maintain the required reliability of services in production.

Embrace automation as a fundamental part of SRE, reducing manual work and toil, and continuously seeking opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

Take responsibility for emergency response, alerting, and incident management, ensuring the timely resolution of critical issues.
Maintain a balance between operational tasks and development work, providing support to both areas effectively.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience as a Site Recovery Engineer or similar role.

Extensive experience with Java, PHP, Dot Net, Angular, My SQL, Postgres SQL, Ms SQL and Reddis for building and maintaining critical applications.

Proficiency in both Azure and AWS cloud environments for site recovery implementations.

Strong expertise in Azure Dev Ops/Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) for managing application change release management, and database as a code (DBa C).

In-depth knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration in site recovery strategies.
Proven experience with Shell Scripting for automation and scripting in recovery processes.
Solid understanding of Terraform for managing infrastructure as code in a multi-cloud environment.

Proficiency in ensuring the security of infrastructure and applications, implementing robust security measures, and staying updated with the latest security best practices.

Experience in log monitoring using tools such as Splunk, Datadog, and Percona to proactively detect and address potential issues and anomalies in system logs.

Strong understanding of networking concepts, including but not limited to TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and routing, to effectively manage and optimize network configurations.

Demonstrated ability to enhance the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, integrating reliability, security, and scalability aspects into every stage of development.

Proven expertise in managing and monitoring security incidents, responding promptly to security breaches, and conducting thorough incident analysis to prevent future occurrences.

Experience in managing encryption and decryption keys and SSL certificates, ensuring the secure transmission and storage of sensitive data.
Familiarity with Ansible for configuration management and streamlined recovery procedures.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex site recovery issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers in site recovery practices and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong expertise in Azure cloud services and architectures for site recovery solutions.
Prior experience with Azure Dev Ops for managing site recovery pipelines.
Certifications in Azure and Azure Dev Ops will be considered a plus.
