You get to delight millions of TV streamers around the world while gaining extensive experience across various disciplines.About the roleLooking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer in Test (Sr. SDET) to join the Browse and Discovery Team at Roku. You will ensure high quality and reliable results for APIs and data pipelines, excel in testing and delivery processes, automate workflows, and integrate testing within the development lifecycle. This role involves being a key member of the team responsible for building and maintaining a robust, scalable content platform, and driving continuous improvement in testing and automation processes.What you'll be doing
  • Designing and developing automated frameworks for APIs and data pipelines
  • Containerizing and automating quality checks for complex orchestrated services
  • Building and maintaining CI/CD workflows
  • Collaborating with development and data engineering teams to enhance testing and release procedures
  • Implementing infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Troubleshooting technical issues related to APIs, data pipelines, and automation
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of platform architecture and design
We're excited if you have
  • 7+ years of experience in Software testing and automation
  • Expertise in Python or Java with familiarity in the other
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Gitlab runners, Travis CI, etc.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure, and containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience with infrastructure as code: Terraform or CloudFormation (AWS)
  • Developing test plans and test cases
  • Knowledge of Linux and Bash scripting
  • Using monitoring tools such as DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent engineering experience
