What we're seeking:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Engineer with expertise in Enterprise-level applications and integrations, collaborating effectively within teams and communicating transparently with stakeholders. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in Agile methodologies, capable of leading initiatives and suggesting process improvements to meet business needs. They should be open to challenges, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, and dedicated to maintaining high standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain our platform across various technical pillars for the News UK tech product catalog.
  • Consistently deliver top-notch software solutions.
  • Proactively drive enhancements to the News UK Subscription Platform.
  • Collaborate with peers to enhance core engineering practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Java software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate or JPA.
  • Experience in test-driven development and understanding of testing types.
  • Familiarity with database technologies like SQL, Oracle.
  • Knowledge of build tools such as Maven, Gradle, and microservices development.
  • Experience in cloud-based services on AWS and the use of CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of other programming languages and AWS alongside Informatica Cloud.

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India

Working Arrangement: Hybrid - three days in office per week minimum
