Your Role and Responsibilities

Who You Are

Tech Mahindra is seeking an IBM Technology leader to serve as a CTO supporting our IBM practice Globally. In this job role, you'll use your expertise to provide best-in-class consulting using business solutions to help clients achieve their business objectives. Roles and responsibilities include participating and supporting in all aspects Technical Consulting services life cycle from supporting sales team in Business Development, Go to Market, Delivery and Solution Support. This role will have emphasis on client facing skills including defining and analysing business requirements and working with sales & customers to evangelize IBM solutions to solve business challenges. Successful candidates will have experience as trusted advisor to clients in a consulting and industry capacity leveraging your experience and establishing credibility with genuine thought leadership.

What You'll Do

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following capabilities:

  • Identify, progress, and deliver complex high-quality solutions to clients in response to varying business requirements.
  • Educate and enable project teams or Sales professionals on IBM solutions including the Implementation/Development Lifecycle.
  • Evangelize IBM technologies including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS with emphasis on Watson X, Hybrid Cloud Solutions, Mainframe, Security, Analytics, Consulting, Maximo, Industry solutions, Systems services, Resiliency services, and IT infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with moving clients form on premise to Hybrid cloud (SaaS) Solutions on IBM technologies.
  • Educate and enable clients on IBM Technology features and capabilities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to client CXOs, including Business and IT executive management.
  • Show excellent diplomacy skills with executive management.
  • Capability and responsibility to define and select tools, processes, priorities, and resources necessary to manage, analyse, design, and implement IBM practice directives.
  • Utilize high level analytical and thought leadership ability and creativity to analyse complex/new situations, anticipate potential problems and future trends, assess opportunities, impacts and risks while developing and implementing plans and producing solutions to client problems.
  • Previous depth with implementing IBM Technology and Solutions with knowledge of Lessons Learned, Best practices, and Risk & Mitigation strategies.
  • Utilize and lead Executive alignment to assist clients in solving Business challenges and opportunities using IBM Technologies.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

20+ years of relevant experience in the IBM technology areas.

Deep expertise of 5+ years in implementing leading products from IBM in similar role.

Should have experience in space of Mainframe Modernization, Watson X, IBM Hybrid cloud products (IBM Cloud Paks) and network products.

Hands on experience in solutions & deployment architectures.

Should have led IBM based architecture for proposals.

Excellent Communication, customer facing and technical leadership skills.

Ability to pick up areas like Watson X and work hands on in developing proof of concepts.

Able to provide technical guidance to a team of lesser experienced professionals.

Well versed in Sales Cycle, Presales activities and interacting with stakeholders.

Excellent client focused and interpersonal skills to develop relationships with clients and team collaboration, written, oral and presentation skills.

Keen eye for detail and an ever-willing eagerness to continuously learn and mature, business analysis skills and ability to exercise judgment.

Understanding the complimentary areas of Network Security, Endpoint Security & Application Security.

Understanding of Cloud Security, Serverless computing and Container Security solutions and related security controls.

Able to design, architect the solutions.

Understanding of GDPR, Data Privacy requirements and other regulatory and other compliance requirements will be added advantage.

Exposure to multiple IBM technologies including WatsonX

Exposure to cybersecurity

Exposure to areas like new solution innovation and pre-sales
