Role Description:


Vegaboom, operating under the umbrella of WhollyHearty, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Assembly Supervisor who will also serve as the Assistant to the General Manager.

This role will play a crucial part in the day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of the production assembly processes.

The successful candidate will also provide essential support to the General Manager across various operational areas, contributing to the success of Vegaboom's innovative food product line.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Monitor assembly processes, making necessary adjustments to schedules for optimal efficiency.
  • Supervise and motivate assembly line workers, ensuring a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
  • Continually assess and improve assembly processes to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Coordinate with the production facility team to streamline assembly line layouts and processes.
  • Implement and maintain inventory and quality control programs for assembly processes.
  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations in Manufacturing, Supply Chain,
  • Technical, Engineering, and Health and Safety.
  • Collaborate with the production facility team to ensure a smooth transition in the production
process, including the hiring and management of production line staff.

  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans and objectives for Vegaboom in alignment with
WhollyHearty's vision.

  • Oversee the production and launch of Vegaboom's product line, ensuring adherence to quality
standards and minimizing downtime through maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within assembly or production processes, preferably in the food industry.
  • Strong organizational skills to coordinate day-to-day assembly operations and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate assembly line workers, fostering a collaborative and results driven team.
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures and inventory management within assembly processes.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving assembly-related issues.
  • Relevant educational background or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Prior experience in providing administrative support to senior leadership.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and operational best practices.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively across departments.
  • Ability to collaborate with the General Manager in strategic planning and execution.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Key holder responsibility.
Requirements

Qualifications:
10+ years direct progressive experience in a manufacturing facility.

10+ years leadership experience of various levels Experience in implementation of Lean Manufacturing and using Kaizen as a tool for Continuous improvement or other tools.

Experience in Operations of F&B, from raw materials storage, to finished goods storage. Demonstrated ability to create and lead teams to drive change. Experience in Managing Operations. Proficient personal computer experience and software knowledge Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Bachelor's degree in industrial, technical, manufacturing or engineering.
