About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with reporters and photographers to curate essential stories, arrange packaging, and slotting to ensure no critical news pieces are overlooked. Your tasks will include page creation and crafting captivating captions and straps, all aimed at maintaining a high-quality and engaging edition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Must possess exceptional translation skills (English to Hindi) concerning international affairs.
  • Proficiency in InDesign pagemaking is advantageous.
  • Responsible for editing articles, curating photos, proposing story concepts, devising headlines and captions, and revising copies.
  • Collaborate with reporters on graphic content and stories, and coordinate with photographers for images to guarantee comprehensive coverage and accurate representation of events.
  • Craft compelling pages with accurate headlines, clever taglines, and informative captions, along with creating visually appealing graphics, and edit and refine stories to deliver error-free, informative, and attractive pages.
  • Create pages, develop dummies for the designated edition, determine story selection and image choices to produce visually appealing layouts.
  • Monitor agencies for overlooked stories, compile a list of relevant news not covered by reporters to maintain a competitive edge over rivals and ensure comprehensive news coverage.

Required Educational Qualifications

Minimum qualification of a graduate or postgraduate degree.

Desired Experience

3-5 years of relevant experience.
