We are in search of Senior Vendor Manager for Proteins in Amazon Fresh program. Proteins, such as Fresh and Frozen Meats and Seafood, play a vital role in boosting Customer Frequency.

The Senior Vendor Manager at Amazon Fresh functions as the 'business owner' for specific categories within the P3 group, which comprises Produce, Perishables & Proteins.

Responsibilities include collaborating with Vendors/Strategic Partners externally, and various internal teams like Instock, Category, Marketing, Product, Food Safety, Delivery Experience, and Customer Service, along with other Amazon teams to drive business growth effectively.

The role involves developing and implementing a productive category strategy, managing category finances, including pricing and cost efficiencies, and exploring new product offerings.

Coordination with Inventory Planning for cost-effective inventory acquisition and ensuring product quality, as well as cooperation with Marketing and Merchandising for effective marketing activities are crucial aspects of this role.

Moreover, the Senior Vendor Manager is tasked with managing Amazon Fresh's buying system data and KPIs, monitoring market trends, pricing, and product availability.

Key responsibilities of the job include:

  • Acting as the 'business owner' for assigned categories, with a deep understanding of internal and external factors influencing the business
  • Staying updated on industry trends, seasonality, and global events, while keeping an eye on competitor activities
  • Developing business plans for new opportunities and executing project plans for new features, including merchandising and pricing strategies
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams, internal and external stakeholders, and meeting deadlines effectively
  • Conducting financial analysis to achieve revenue and profitability targets

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in account management, project or program management, or buying
  • Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, economics, engineering, or marketing
  • Experience in negotiating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to drive alignment with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in using data to drive business decisions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA
  • Experience in presenting to senior leadership
