Our client a Top Tier Indian Private Bank is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer with a focus on unstructured data pipelines to join our team.
As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and optimizing our data infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of our business.
You will collaborate closely with executive stakeholders to understand and define business data requirements, and work with cross-functional teams to design, build, and optimize data architecture and ETL pipelines.
Primary Responsibilities:
Build data engineering pipelines focused on unstructured data, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Collaborate with executive stakeholders to discover and define business data needs, and translate them into technical requirements.
Design, build, and optimize data architecture and ETL pipelines to make data accessible for Data Scientists, enabling them to derive insights and make informed decisions.
Manage the end-to-end data lifecycle, including Data Ingestion, Data Transformation, and Data Consumption layers, ensuring data integrity and governance.Utilize APIs effectively to integrate with external data sources and systems, enhancing data accessibility and usability.
Drive the highest standards in data reliability, integrity, and governance, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and trustworthiness of data sets.
Demonstrate proficiency in big data infrastructure technologies such as MapReduce, Hive, HDFS, YARN, HBase, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc., to support the processing and storage of large-scale data.
Possess strong technical debugging skills to troubleshoot issues in data pipelines, and experience working with version control systems like Git for code management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.5 to 10 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on building unstructured data pipelines.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Experience working with big data technologies and frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
Knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, and data governance principles.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
