Job Description:

As a Data Engineer at Visa Inc., you will be responsible for designing and building scalable data solutions that power our global payment network.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and understand business requirements and translate them into data engineering solutions that drive business insights.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and processes to support Visa's payment network
  • Develop efficient and scalable data models that can handle large volumes of data
  • Work closely with crossfunctional teams to gather and understand business requirements
  • Identify opportunities for data quality improvement and implement solutions
  • Build and maintain data infrastructure and tools for data analysis and reporting
  • Perform data analysis and troubleshoot datarelated issues
  • Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of data solutions
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovations in data engineering

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 3 years of experience in data engineering and ETL processes
  • Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, and/or Java
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and/or Hive
  • Proficiency in data warehousing concepts and data modeling
  • Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and with version control systems
  • Excellent problemsolving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for learning and staying updated with emerging technologies
