TITLE
Assistant Manager - Environment, Health & Safety

BUSINESS UNIT IFM

REPORTING TO
Facility Manager and Corporate EHS Manager

DIRECT REPORTS
Nil.

POSITION GOALS
The position is expected to provide leadership on EH&S matters for the site team.

The person is expected to lead implementation of the facility and focussed programmes on EH&S compliance at the Managed facility.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
To lead implementation of EH&S initiatives in the site.
Drive the EH&S compliance programme in the managed facility.
Ensure Client and JLLM EHS requirements are full implemented and complied with.
Conduct Risk assessment and put controls
Incident management
Train Vendors and the site team in implementing EHS requirements
Guide operations teams and clients on any changed legislative requirements to enable them to plan for continued legal compliance.
Develop and implement process for tracking regulatory compliances across managed locations.
Coordinate with Facility Manger, Corporate EHS manager, ensure implementation of programmes.
Annual Compliance signoff

SKILL SET REQUIRED
BE / B.Sc. with experience in EH&S management
Implementation knowledge on ISO 14001, ISO 4500.
Diploma in H&S
Understanding of waste management, sewage treatment and water treatment plant operations
Good understanding of EH&S related regulations.
4-5 yrs of experience in development, implement and maintaining EH&S management and audit with leading MNC / Consulting firms.
Good written and spoken communication skills
Good coordination skills
Ability to multi-task and efficiently track implementation at remote locations through identified SPOC's
Program management skills
