What You'll Do

As a mid-level full-stack software engineer at Arva, you will be instrumental in advancing our metrics-focused and data-driven organisation by:

  • Teaming Up with the Founders: Work directly with the founders to manage projects, adhering to timelines and ensuring that deliverables are met efficiently. Adhere a culter of high code quality and continuous improvement.
  • Writing Quality Code with TDD: Harness your extensive experience with React, , and MongoDB to write clean, maintainable, and robust code. Your commitment to Test-Driven Development (TDD) will ensure functionality that's both reliable and scalable.
  • Mastering Database Management: Utilize your MongoDB expertise to maintain and optimize our database architecture, focusing on performance, security, and integrity.
  • Optimising AWS Infrastructure: Build upon your knowledge of AWS, utilizing services such as Lambda and EC2 to craft a resilient backend infrastructure.
  • Creating Advanced UIs: Your task will be to develop complex, responsive user interfaces, ensuring seamless user experiences across a variety of devices while keeping up with the latest trends in web design.
  • Developing and Integrating REST APIs: Apply your knowledge of REST APIs to design and implement efficient and scalable APIs, ensuring seamless integration with various services and applications.
  • Partnering Across Functions: Work in tandem with designers and departments like marketing, sales, customer success, and product to convert business needs into technical action plans.

Technical skills

  • Full-Stack Development Prowess: You bring a solid 2+ years of full-stack experience with a particular focus on , , AWS, and MongoDB.
  • Front-End Acumen: Demonstrated success as a front-end developer with extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and complex UI creation.
  • AWS Competency: A strong grasp of AWS services, including Lambda and EC2, showcases your ability to contribute to scalable backend solutions.
  • Knowledge of MongoDB: Proficient in working with MongoDB for database management.
  • Experience with REST APIs: Proficiency in developing and integrating REST APIs is essential for this role.
  • Champion of TDD: A disciplined approach to Test-Driven Development is critical, ensuring stability and quality in all features you implement.
  • Proficient in Team Collaboration Tools: Experienced with Git for version control and comfortable with tools like Jira or Asana.
  • UX Design Insight: While not required, knowledge in UX design principles is a significant plus, contributing to the user-centric approach of our development practices.
