In one sentenceResponsible for design, development (via code and configuration) for change requests and product customization, debugging and/or maintenance of software systems related to 4G/5G Policy network function

What will your job look like?


You will be responsible for low level Technical Design, development, modifications, debugging and/or maintain software code and configuration according to functional, non-functional, and technical design specifications.· You will follow Amdocs software engineering standards, applicable software development methodology and release processes, to ensure code/configuration is maintainable, scalable, and supportable, and demo the software products to stakeholders.· You will investigate issues by reviewing/debugging code, provide fixes and workarounds, and review changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions.· You will work within a team, collaborate with team members (like developers, testers, specialists, lead engineer, Dev-Ops engineer, Solution Architect and project manager) and add value through participation in peer code reviews, provide comments and suggestions, and work with cross functional and geographically distributed teams to achieve goals.· You will assume technical accountability for your specific work products within an application and provide technical support during solution design for new requirements.· You will be encouraged to actively look for innovation, continuous improvement, and efficiency in all assigned tasks.

Bachelor's degree in science/IT/Computer Science or equivalentMUST HAVE SKILLS –· At least 2-3 years of experience of working in Telecom core network domain - 4G/5G core network functions like Charging, Policy, 3GPP standards and protocols like Diameter.· Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in Java-8 or above versions , JavaScript· Firsthand Experience RESTful APIs, Maven, Spring framework, good understanding of SOAP APIs· Experience of using Linux commands and shell scripting· Basic Kubernetes and Docker knowledge· Experience with working and troubleshooting on Microservice based architecture.· Hands-on experience on certain DevOps tools and lifecycle - Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, JIRA, IDE- Eclipse/IntelliJ, Confluence· Experience with working in software projects following agile methodology.· Strong Communication/Interpersonal skills to work in a geographically distributed team and flexibility to work with global customers across different time zones.· Experience in creating good documentation for technical and functional designs.· Understanding and awareness of good coding practices/standards· Software Delivery Experience on CNF based applicationsNICE TO HAVE SKILLS -· Apache Kafka or related Publish-subscribe messaging technology.· DevSecOps knowledge -CI/CD , Jenkins/Gitea/JFrog, Ansible· Knowledge and experience with different test automation tools like J-Units, Jmeter, Karate and Postman, Static code analysis tools like SonarQube, data visualization tools like Kibana/Grafana, tracing tools like e.g.

Jaeger· Microservices - Design, development, and deployment.· Knowledge of Helm· Apache Camel· Experience of working with any kind of DBMS technology like RDBMS ( e.g. Oracle,PostGres) or NoSQL databases ( e.g.

VoltDB, Couchbase etc)· Functional programming (rxjava)· Knowledge or Experience of Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure· Awareness and use of AI based software development tools like Github Co-pilot for day-to-day Development tasks.
