Role Overview

The Taegis Endpoint Agent is a cross-platform product integral to our XDR platform. This agent plays a pivotal role in identifying malicious behavior and other activities to transmit data to the cloud for advanced threat analysis. Leveraging threat intelligence from our expert security researchers and advanced threat analytics platform, we identify and secure threats in our clients' infrastructure.

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer with solid knowledge of Windows systems to drive the enhanced endpoint capabilities of our new product portfolio. In a dynamic, startup-like setting, you will collaborate with seasoned software engineers, data scientists, and security professionals to develop the next-generation endpoint sensor seamlessly integrating with our cloud-native security analytics platform. Role Responsibilities

  • Develop software with stringent concurrency, reliability, and minimal end-user impact requirements.
  • Engage in design and technical dialogues focusing on architecture, strategy, and advancement of next-gen threat detection and response capabilities.
  • Adopt Test-driven Development practices to ensure top-notch quality.
  • Enforce high standards in design, coding, as well as unit and component testing.
  • Troubleshoot, replicate, debug, and resolve product issues efficiently.
  • Create tools to enhance team productivity and contribute to test automation.
  • Collaborate effectively with a globally dispersed team to deliver superior software within challenging timelines.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and inspiration to elevate team members' performance.

Minimum Requirements

  • Extensive experience and proficiency in C++ (17/20/22).
  • Strong understanding of low-level OS internals.
  • Expertise in debugging and resolving application crashes and performance issues.
  • Experience in developing applications with concurrency utilizing robust multi-threading.

Preferred Skills

  • Kernel mode development (minifilter, WFP, NDIS, IFS).
  • Proficiency in Windows CI/CD, including installers, updaters, packaging, and signing.
  • Experience in software security aspects like encryption, authentication, and offensive/defensive techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge of OS system fundamentals and subsystems.
  • Familiarity and experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Sound understanding and practice with WFP filters.
  • Experience with Cloud applications.
  • Background in Malware research and reverse engineering is advantageous.
