About The/Nudge:
The/Nudge is an action institute working towards a poverty-free India within our lifetime. We partner with governments, markets, and civil society through our impact streams – Centre for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (CSDE), Centre for Rural Development (CRD), and Centre for Social Innovation (CSI).
The End Ultra Poverty (EUP) program under CRD enables families to come out of extreme poverty through a Graduation Approach model, which has demonstrated that ultra-poverty can be conquered. EUP implements programs, enables partners, provides research/design support to governments, and builds tech solutions for quality at-scale implementation.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a deeply passionate individual to play a pivotal role in shaping the futures of millions of ultra-poor households across India. As a Program Manager (EUP) - Implementation and Best Practices with our Graduation Approach program, you will be at the intersection of product innovation and on-ground impact that aims to end poverty for communities most in need.
This role requires balancing creativity with humility, designing solutions while being firmly grounded in the harsh realities facing the poorest households in rural India. We are looking for someone who feels purpose and pride in enabling the women breadwinners across villages in India to build sustainable livelihoods and come out of the generational cycles of poverty that have trapped families for too long. Someone who believes in a poverty-free India within our lifetime.
You will work closely with diverse teams spanning product managers, field coordinators, and operations leads to align innovation priorities with what will drive the highest outcomes for beneficiaries on the ground. You will have the opportunity to shape program roadmaps that can transform lives at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor priority results through reviews and field visits
  • Collaborate to develop quarterly product roadmaps, balancing innovation versus realities facing the ultra-poor
  • Form working groups between product and regional ops teams to enable seamless collaboration
  • Drive alignment on experimentation sprints with teams based on program priorities
  • Work closely with Operations Head and State heads to monitor quality as per the program standards
  • Proactively flag any major quality gaps in the program to the relevant stakeholders
  • Analyze regional data to derive insights into what's working and enable feedback loops
  • Maintain strong relationships and communication across diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Collect time-to-time feedback from the field and review/ redesign operation manuals/ guidelines/ processes
  • Ensure timely change communication to all internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 10-12 years of experience in social development program design, operations, or product management
  • Passion for grassroots development & humility to understand on-ground realities
  • Strong project management skills – able to handle ambiguity and drive progress
  • Data-driven mindset with storytelling ability
  • Collaborative working style with exceptional people management skills
  • Experience of working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
