Your role and responsibilities
  • Contributing with own ideas to identify, propose and implement innovative technology development and solutions
  • Demonstrating solid technical proficiency in paper machine drives control process by performing a variety of technology / engineering assignments, which demonstrates independent ability to recognize problems and provide input to solutions
  • Working as a reliable R&D project member and has the capability to be work-package responsible, applying a structured way of working
  • Gathering information about relevant ABB products and technologies in order to achieve efficiency in own R&D activities and develops an understanding of technical drivers and customer value
  • Providing consulting services to business operations and customers
  • Training / conducting workshops with local business units on the new products / enhancements to the existing products
Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree from a reputed university with first class in electrical/ electrical and electronics engineering
  • 4 to 5 years of relevant work experience in drives solutions by similar suppliers or in paper industry
  • Knowledge of IT/ network/ peripherals like UPS, printer, PC's, server components of DCS
  • Knowledge in application programming and HMI development/ modifications for PLC/ DCS systems
  • Experience of commissioning/ trouble shooting/ servicing drive systems preferably in/ for paper making and its finishing machines
  • Working principle of drive system for paper applications like paper machine, winder etc
